Biodanza classes in Lisbon
An open group every Friday in Restelo, near Algés. You can join at any time of the year. Classes are held in Portuguese, and we are happy to help in English.

Getting there
Clube Alto do Duque is in Restelo, near Algés, inside Monsanto forest park. The hall is large, with a wooden floor and windows onto the trees. We suggest coming in via Rua do Alto do Duque.
By car
There is parking right outside the club.
By public transport from Lisbon
- Carris 751, from Campolide, Alcântara or Belém: stops at R. Alto Duque.
- Carris 723 (Marquês de Pombal, Amoreiras), 729 (Benfica, Colégio Militar) or 750 (Oriente, Campo Grande): a few minutes' walk from Av. das Descobertas or nearby.
From Oeiras
- Linda-a-Velha or Miraflores: Carris 751 or 201 to the R. Alto Duque stop.
- Paço de Arcos, Oeiras or Carcavelos: Cascais line train to Algés, then Carris 723, 729, 751 or 201 (under 10 minutes).
- Carnaxide or Queijas: Carris Metropolitana lines to Restelo and Hospital S. Francisco Xavier.
From Amadora
- Carris Metropolitana 1714 (Amadora Sul – Belém) or 1712 (Amadora Sul – Algés): get off near Hospital S. Francisco Xavier, a few minutes' walk away.
- Reboleira or Damaia: train or metro to Benfica or Colégio Militar, then Carris 729.
Your first class
How much is a trial class?
The trial class costs €5.
Do I need to know how to dance?
No. Biodanza has no steps to memorise. All you need is the wish to try it, whatever your age or physical condition.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, non-slip socks and a bottle of water.
Do I need to let you know beforehand?
We appreciate a WhatsApp message so we can welcome you properly.
Is the class in English?
Classes are in Portuguese. Much of Biodanza is lived without words, and we are happy to explain the exercises in English.
